Phone insurance

Get the neon phone insurance for 10 CHF per month. No more worries about accidental damage or theft – protect your phone regardless of its value, age, or type, so you can focus on what's important.

Warranty extension

Extend the 2-year manufacturer's warranty on your newly purchased electronic devices by a whole 3 years for just 3.50 CHF per month. For new devices with a value of more than 50 CHF purchased with your neon card, you will have a 5-year warranty – simple and affordable.

Phone Warranty Travel
Phone insurance 10 CHF per month

All mobile phones
The insurance applies to the activated device i.e., the smartphone on which the neon app is activated. Regardless of the value, age or type of device of your mobile phone.
Accidental damage
Covers damage to or destruction of the device due to a sudden or unforeseen external impact as a result of damp or liquids, violent impact (e.g., fall), sand, short circuit, or over voltage. Repairs must be done by Helvetic Warranty.
Robbery or burglary
Covers the sudden or unforeseeable loss of the insured device, as a result of theft e.g., robbery, burglary, or unauthorised removal. In the case of theft a police report is required.
What's not covered
Lost or misplaced
Lost, misplaced or forgotten devices; devices stolen from vehicles when visible from the outside; devices left unattended.
Data recovery
Recovery of data, software, information or music is not covered.

3+ years of warranty
Extends the existing warranty of newly purchased electronic products by three years. Products must be purchased with your neon card, and the original manufacturer’s warranty is required.
Compensation up to 90%
Compensation is 90% after the expiry of the manufacturer‘s warranty in the 1st year, 80% in the 2nd year, and in the 3rd year 70% of the original purchase price, up to 6000 CHF per calendar year.
What's not covered
Certain damages
Damage not covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. Including, accidental damage, damage due to misuse, fire, water or liquid exposure, corrosion, lightning, sand, vermin, termites, insects, rot, moisture, heat, rust or bacteria.
Products less than 50 CHF
Products below the minimum value of CHF 50 are not insured.

Search, rescue & transport
Transfer costs to the nearest hospital due to an accident are covered. Additionally, search and rescue operations are covered if you’re considered missing.
Health insurance abroad
Provides cover for 90 days if you fall ill or suffer from an accident.
Cancellation costs
If a flight or train ride is missed due to illness, injury, strike, civil unrest, failure of public transport or theft of travel documents, the resulting additional costs are covered.
Flight delay
If a connecting flight is missed due to a delay of at least 3 hours through the exclusive fault of the first airline, the insurance covers the additional costs for continuing the journey.
Baggage
Baggage is insured against theft, robbery, damage, and loss during the trip. In addition, if baggage arrives with a long delay, costs of most necessary purchases are covered.
What's not covered
Cancellation by service provider
Cancellation costs are not covered when the service provider (travel company, hirer, organiser, etc.) cancels the agreed service, or should have cancelled the service, for objective reasons.
Pre-existing illnesses
The health insurance abroad does not cover any symptoms or illnesses known at the time of subscription to the travel insurance.
Unattended baggage
The insurance does not cover baggage theft, robbery, or damages if the baggage was left unattended.

  • Insured object: Smartphone on which the neon app is activated. If you change your smartphone, the insurance cover is automatically transferred to the newly activated smartphone.
  • Coverage starts: 30 days after conclusion of the insurance
  • Monthly cost: 10 CHF
  • Insured events: damage or destruction as well as theft (robbery, burglary, unauthorised removal) 
  • Insurance benefits in the event of damage: cost coverage up to the amount of the purchase price of your device for repair work in the event of damage, or replacement device of the same type and quality in line with the purchase price of your device in the event of theft or total loss
  • Deductible per occurrence: 85 CHF in the event of damage or destruction, 150 CHF in the event of theft.
  • Number of insured occurrences per year: 1 insured occurrence per year
  • Procedure in case of damage: Report to Helvetic no later than 14 days after the damage occurs, either via the neon app or by calling +41 44 563 62 41
  • Termination: after expiry of the minimum duration of 6 months, termination is possible directly in the neon app at the end of each calendar month

  • Insured objects: New electronic devices purchased with the neon Mastercard covered by a valid manufacturer's warranty and with a minimum value of 50 CHF.
  • Coverage starts: Immediately after conclusion of the insurance (earliest 1 June 2024)
  • Monthly cost: 3.50 CHF
  • Insured events: Extension of the normal 2-year manufacturer's warranty by 3 years. 
  • Insurance benefits in the event of damage: Reimbursement of repair costs or replacement costs for damage that would be covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. The compensation amounts to 90% of the purchase price. The maximum insured sum is 6'000 CHF.
  • Deductible per occurrence: no deductible
  • Number of insured occurrences per year: no limit
  • Procedure in case of damage: Immediate notification to ERV via the neon app
  • Termination: minimum duration of 3 months after coverage starts. After the minimum duration, termination is possible directly in the neon app at the end of each calendar month.

  • Insurance benefits in the event of damage: Travel services not used ( 15'000 CHF), 24-hour emergency call center, transport to hospital (100'000 CHF), search and rescue costs (100'000 CHF), supplementary medical expenses in the event of illness or accident abroad (200'000 CHF), additional costs in the event of flight delay of more than 3 hours (1'000 CHF); theft, robbery, delay, damage or destruction and loss of luggage caused by public transport operators (2'000 CHF)
